With the support and guidance of The Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness Society, we are able to help our family members who identify as First Nations, Inuit or Métis with finding a place or if someone is already housed and needing extra support we can see if they qualify for rental subsidies.
The rental subsidies are based off of monthly income.
Culturally Aligned Integrated Support
( CAIS ) Is an Indigenous-led initiative funded through the Province of BC as part of the new Supported Rent Supplement Program (SRSP)
The SRSP provides a suite of health, housing and social supports with up to $600/monthly rent supplements in priority communities with the goal to prevent and reduce homelessness

Year one of CAIS, launched on April 1, 2023 has met the goal of providing 50 Canada-BC Housing Benefits (CBCHB) while developing culturally supportive wraparound care through the SRSP for eligible Indigenous peoples living across Vancouver Island’s three Tribal Regions - Coast Salish, Nuu-chah-nulth and Kwakwaka’wakw - which began on April 1, 2024 and include the administration of 225 Housing Benefits with culturally supportive wraparound care across the following 7 streams:
